Behind Kenya AA
Baragwi Farmers Cooperative Society was established in 1953, during the Mau Mau Emergency, a British-declared state of emergency in Kenya in response to an armed anti-colonial uprising, primarily by Kikuyu fighters seeking to reclaim land and independence. It was born as an institution representing the social and economic interests of African farmers.
