Don Daimer is a third-generation coffee grower whose family story includes both hardship and resilience. After losing his grandfather to violence when his father was young, his father continued the family’s coffee tradition, slowly rebuilding and expanding their land. Since then, coffee has been his life’s work. After finishing school, he worked alongside his father, learning the craft and gradually managing his own production.

In 2010, Don Daimer returned to Colombia after several years working in Spain. With the savings he had earned abroad, he purchased a mountainous parcel of land near the town of Palermo. At the time, the property was wild grassland, though it included a protected natural reserve where two streams originate. Together with his family, Daimer began developing the farm—planting four hectares (almost 10 acres) of coffee while carefully preserving the reserve.

The farm’s name, Dos Quebradas, reflects this landscape. Nestled between the two streams, the land is shaped and nourished by the same water sources that give the farm its identity.

About twelve years ago, as specialty coffee began gaining wider recognition and better prices, Daimer committed himself fully to quality. He deepened his knowledge,

refined his practices, and today the entire farm is dedicated to producing exceptional specialty coffees.

Behind Colombia Twin Streams

Don Daimer’s farm is perfectly nestled in an Andean ravine, 6000 feet up, flush with water and sun, and importantly, experiences cool nights and warm days. All of which create a perfect place for coffee trees to flourish. In the end, environmental factors compel slow fruit and bean maturation, lending them to complex flavors.
