Mesco

Notes of Cherry, Chocolate, and Rich

Originally created under the watch of Michael Edward Swing, Mesco is the signature M.E. Swing Co. coffee. This unique blend of Latin American and African coffees was patented in 1918 as “the coffee that improves in quality as it cools in the cup.” Still our most popular coffee, Mesco has the pronounced creaminess of milk chocolate, and a smooth mellow flavor that is perfect for any occasion. As this brew cools in the cup, its rich and sweet qualities deepen for a last sip that is just as satisfying as the first.

Roast Level
After roasting the coffee, we measure the bean color using a spectrophotometer. Our 10-point scale is the indicator, with the lightest to the left and the darkest to the right.

Homegrown Coffee®

Brazil

Legender Especial is a blend from the micro-regions of Machado, Poço Fundo, and Campestre in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Unlike Brazil’s large estates, this coffee comes from small family farms, or sítios. Purchased directly from quality-focused growers, the coffee is hand-picked—rare in Brazil—and made only from ripe red cherries, delivering a fuller, more developed expression of Brazilian flavor.

Guatemala

This regional lot comes from Nuevo Oriente, an emerging coffee region in far eastern Guatemala near Honduras and El Salvador. Coffee has been grown here since the 1950s, in fertile volcanic soils at 1,200–1,600 meters. Cloudy, rainy conditions slow cherry maturation, building complexity. Coffee is dried on patios or in traditional guardiolas and sourced from small, multigenerational family farms with their own wet mills.

Ardi coffee is carefully sourced by certified Q Graders and made using only ripe cherries processed naturally. Cherries are dried on raised beds and gently turned for three weeks, allowing sugars to transfer to the seed.
