What You’ll Need:
- V60 brewer
- V60 filter
- Grinder
- Scale
- Timer
- 24g of Swing's Coffee
- Gooseneck kettle with water just off the boil
- Mug or carafe
Because this brewing method tends to favor aromatic, light to medium-bodied coffees, we recommend trying one of our single origin coffees with your V60.
Here are step-by-step instructions:
- Measure out 24g of Swing's coffee and grind on a fine level of coarseness. The ground coffee should be finer than drip, but coarser than espresso- similar to table salt.
- Fill the gooseneck kettle with 200˚ water and wet the paper filter thoroughly. Discard excess water.
- With wet filter inserted, place the V60 brewer on your mug or carafe and then place the entire receptacle on the scale.
- Deposit the ground coffee into the filter. Start your timer and pour 120g of water over the grounds, making sure to wet all the coffee in a circular motion to evenly distribute the water.
- Add an additional 60g of water every 30 seconds until your total water weight is 360g. You should finish pouring after 2 minutes has elapsed.
- Wait for coffee to finish dripping from the filter and remove the V60.
