Our mission statement is to (r)evolve - continued and relentless pursuit of best practices in coffee, in order to deliver substantive and sustainable quality, recognizing efforts of the past are no guarantee of future success. Swing's is proud of our history, we hold our legacy as it relates to coffee and Swing's founders in high regard, and will endeavor to keep moving this company to the forefront of best practices in the specialty coffee industry.
Swing's began in 1916 under the watch of Michael Edward Swing (see Origins of MESCo), and over the decades our company has endured while others have dropped off. Swing's tenure can be directly attributed to the company's commitment to its mission, and the people, employees, and customers that have contributed along the way.
In 2005, Patricia Swing, the grand-daughter of M.E., decided that at the age of 86, it was time to relinquish ownership and control of the M.E. Swing Company. She had guided the company through a variety of successes and storms for over 60 years, without her perseverance, no telling where we might be today. Ownership of Swing's was transitioned to Mark Warmuth in early 2006, along with his commitment to maintain Swing's in a fashion that has enabled the company to flourish for 97 years.
Today, Swing's is continuing its longstanding traditions and customer relations, while constantly moving forward in pursuit of sourcing and producing excellent coffee. Our underlying focus will always be to consistently raise the coffee "bar" for our company and the coffee expectations for our customers.
